This Thunderbolt 3 docking station dramatically expands the potential of your MacBook Pro or Windows laptop by adding 10 ports to its Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C MFDP port. Not only does the MTB3-DOCK-03INT allow you to transmit 8K video to one display or 4K video to two displays, you can also add USB peripherals, record a podcast, connect to a Gigabit Ethernet network, charge your laptop and more, all at the same time.
Supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Transmitting Audio/Video Signals
By connecting the included Thunderbolt 3 cable to a source device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 4K video and digital audio to a compatible monitor, television or projector without installing special software drivers.
Thunderbolt 3 Supports Blisteringly Fast 40 Gbps Data Transfer Speeds
The included Thunderbolt 3 cable supports bidirectional speeds up to 40 Gbps, which is eight times faster than USB 3.0, four times faster than Thunderbolt 1 and twice as fast as Thunderbolt 2. With dual 20 Gbps channels moving data both directions at the same time, the MTB3-DOCK-03INT is perfectly suited for 4K video streaming and editing on two monitors, as well as transferring large RAW video or CAD files. When connected to a host computer? USB-C MFDP port, the cable supports 26.2 Gbps speeds (USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps + DisplayPort 1.4 8.1G x2 Lane)
DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Allows Connection of Multiple Displays
By connecting the included Thunderbolt 3 cable to a Thunderbolt source that supports DisplayPort MST Mode, you may connect two displays simultaneously (DP & USB-C) at resolutions of 8K (30 Hz) plus 4K (30 Hz) or both displays at 4K (60 Hz). This allows you to display the same image on both monitors, extend your host desktop across both with different windows open on each, or combine both into one large display as a video wall. Up to three total displays can be utilized if the dock is connected to a compatible laptop (DP + USB-C + Laptop screen).
Transmits Crystal-Clear 8K and 4K Video for Professional Editing and Digital Signage
Both the DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 3 video ports can achieve individual resolutions up to 8K (7680 x 4320) at 30 Hz, when used with a Thunderbolt 3-enabled source computer and Thunderbolt 3 cable. When used with an MFDP-enabled source computer, the DisplayPort connector? maximum resolution is 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz, and the Thunderbolt port is reduced to USB 2.0 data transfer functionality only. The Thunderbolt 3 port also allows daisy-chaining up to six devices, including RAID memory and other storage devices.
USB Ports Connects Keyboards, Thumb Drives and Other USB Peripherals
Two USB-A hub ports and one USB-C port accept USB peripherals, such as flash drives, mice, keyboards, external hard drives and printers. All three support lightning-fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps and are backward compatible with previous USB generations. The USB-C port supports USB charging up to 5V 1.5A. One USB-A port supports charging speeds up to 5V 1.5A. The other supports charging up to 5V 900mA.
Accesses a Wired Gigabit Ethernet Network
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when no Wi-Fi is available or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
Connects Stereo Audio Equipment for Recording and Playback
This Thunderbolt 3 docking station contains one 3.5 mm mini stereo jack, convenient for connecting speakers, headphones or a microphone to your workstation. You can listen to music or record the latest episode of your podcast.
Allows External Memory Access
The SD 4.0 memory card slots support Micro SD and SD cards for transferring data to and from your connected computer or laptop. Both slots may be used at the same time.
Included Thunderbolt 3 Cable Attaches in Either Direction
Unlike traditional USB cables that connect in only one direction, the reversible Thunderbolt 3 male connector plugs into its port in either direction for an instant connection every time.
Ready to Use Right from the Package, So You Can Plug and Play Immediately
The plug-and-play Thunderbolt 3 dock is specifically designed for use with the MacBook Pro or Windows laptop equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 port. Drivers are automatically downloaded and installed during the initial dock connection with the host computer (Note: the host must have administrative access for the drivers to install automatically. If this is not possible the drivers can be downloaded manually via the product's web page at tripplite.eaton.com). Simply plug the included power adapter into a standard AC outlet, and connect the included Thunderbolt 3 cable to your computer? Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C MFDP port.
