This USB-to-Serial cable (M/M) connects a 9-pin RS-232 (DB9) serial device to a USB-A port on your desktop computer or laptop. It connects modems, PDUs, network switches, console servers and other serial devices at data transfer speeds up to 230 Kbps, which is twice as fast as a built-in serial port. The compact five-foot (1.5-meter) cable fits easily inside a backpack or laptop bag for use almost anywhere.
