The U457-025-G1-WPG lets you connect a SATA solid state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD) to any device with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, including a MacBook, Ultrabook, Chromebook, notebook, tablet or PC. It also helps you retrieve data stashed on old 2.5-inch SATA III, II and I drives up to 2 TB. It will also support higher SATA capacities as they become available.

This adapter supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, to give you more data storage, retrieval and backup capacity. A blue LED indicates when drive data is being read, written or transferred. The U457-025-G1-WPG reads data up to 70 percent faster and writes up to 40 percent faster when connected to a UASP-enabled host controller. It is also backward compatible with previous USB generations, allowing you to use it with older equipment.
